Having an amputee as your lover doesn't really sound that bad if you think about it. Not only are there other amputees who are attracted to people who have had at least one of their limbs removed, but there are also people who have a full set of limbs but would still go for amputees instead. Amputees might think that they're not attractive anymore, given that they've lost at least one limb, but that's not the case at all. It just means that you have to work harder and smarter for you to reach your goals. But that doesn't mean you're not entitled to enjoying the same things as people with a complete set of arms and legs do. Having your arms or legs cut off because of some accident or disease would surely mean that your life would be harder here on after.
